Fingers and paws crossed that the weather will be OK - according to the BBC forecast it is looking good. Mia is celebrating her 11th birthday on Monday so is bringing a few treats to share with her friends and has got her finest collar and lead all ready for the occasion!

Was lovely to catch up with everyone today!
Had a lovely time at Maldon, starting with a leisurely walk along the estuary followed by a picnic under the trees.
And Rick - what a LOVELY boy! I think that everyone fell in love with him!
To think this boy had never met any of us or our dogs before - he was so chilled and well behaved, was friendly and polite to everyone and lapped up all the attention that he was given.
He really is going to make a fantastic pet when someone gives him the chance.
I took loads of photos - will try to upload them soon

Yes Andrea, we agree it was a lovely catch up ,good company and well behaved greyhounds, you are right about Ricky, considering he has led a very sheltered kennel life he was so well behaved today wandering around getting to know the other greyhounds and their owners, he is going to make a lovely pet,I hope someone gives him a chance very soon, kennel life is not for this lovely boy. Paul and I stayed on for a bit today ,we walked up to the ice cream kiosk and sat in the evening sun overlooking the estuary, such a lovely place. Mind you ,we caught a heavy shower on the way home. ! Babs,Paul,Lily & Poppy xxxx

We also had a great time; it was the perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon. And being in a small-medium sized group meant that we all got a chance to talk to everyone and more importantly to fuss everyone else's hounds.
How lovely that you got to stay on later Babs and enjoy the remainder of the afternoon.
Just like you and Andrea, we also fell in love with Rick. He will make the most wonderful addition to anyone's family so here's hoping he finds a very special home soon.
We must catch up like this more often ...................

Totally agree Rose, we really must do this more often, we thoroughly enjoyed seeing everyone and their hounds, they are all so well behaved. It's the first time we have been to Maldon and even tho it was busy we didn't feel closed in ,so much open space ! We really must do it again. !! Babs xx
