I have recently taken in a couple of dogs, Ruben & Lady, who really need some TLC They are neglect cases  Lady is a very pretty Brindle & white girl, 6 1/2 yrs old. I was told she is very nervous of people, and she was when I picked her up, but after just a few days with me she is already wagging her tail & coming to me for a fuss. She seems very happy in her new environment  Ruben is a red fawn boy, 7 yrs old next month. He is very loving & affectionate - he gives you the biggest grin ever! Sadly, not all the dogs that came from this 'kennel' were as lucky, as some were too badly neglected & didn't make it |

I cannot put on here what i would like to do to these people. I don't know how anyone can sit and eat a meal while starving and neglecting an animal and it doesn't bear thinking about as to what these poor dogs have been through both physically and mentally . The law desperately needs changing on animal cruelty. These people need to be named & shamed and banned from keeping any animals for life !! They are B******s. Now i'll get off my soapbox. Good for you Jodie for taking them on ,just so sad about those that did not make it.

Babs I couldnt agree more with you. I did not comment about that as I would not have been able to be as polite as you have been  . These two lovely dogs are so incredibly affectionate, they just want lots of affection and when you stroke them they are just so pleased to be touched. . What brave and strong dogs they really are and just gos to show what lovely dogs Greyhounds are because, Ruben the boy and lady the girl go crazy for food which you would expect after being starved for so long but Ruben droped his chew treat today and Lady quickly picked it up and he didnt even growl. Alhtough he did not make the same mistake when I went to get him another. Bless them both |

We met Ruben and Lady on Sunday and, thanks to the love and care that Jodie and Carly have given them, they are doing brilliantly. They are really gorgeous hounds. It's incredible considering all they've been through.

Ruben & Lady are doing SO well They look really good now, have put on so much weight & their coat condition is coming along lovely. They have even left a little bit of their dinner once or twice now which is actually really good to see  - if you'd have seen them eat their food a few weeks ago Rose & Tony brought them down some special treats last weekend, which they really enjoyed - had to cut Ruben's up small, because the poor boy lost a lot of teeth - Lady lost a lot too, but she manages a lot better then Ruben. A kind lady that Rose know's also bought them some treats Ruben has been Reserved already |
