The more eagle eyed among you will have noticed a new, shiny "Donate" button at the top of the page!
Should you wish to make a donation via PayPal you can do so easily and securely by clicking on this. You can use this even if you don't have a PayPal account.
You can also send a donation from your own PayPal account, by going to the "send money" tab.
Enter "castledon@btinternet.com" in the "To" field, and the amount you wish to send.
Click on the "Personal" tab which allows you to indicate that you are sending a gift, rather than paying for goods or services. (This minimises the charges if the funds come from your bank account or PayPal balance, rather than a debit or credit card).
Please pm me if you have any questions about this.
And don't forget - if you're a tax payer, then if you fill in a gift aid form we can claim back 25% of your donation at NO cost to you!

Just put a payment for £10 through on the paypal button on the website, but it didn't give me the option of saying that it was for a gift. Sue, could you perhaps post on here what charges are taken out by paypal so that people can adjust their donation accordingly if they want to? BTW, the £10 was for some of my 'Castledon Canine Cookies' that I made and sold for £1 a pot to people at work. All the dogs that tried them loved them, so I have some repeat orders!

There's a slight hitch with the button on the website - so please don't use till we fix it. The one on here is OK.

I'm delighted to announce that the PayPal button on the Castledon website www.castledongreyhoundrescue.co.uk/ is now set up and working properly! The advantage of this is that anyone can donate to Castledon using their debit or credit card, whether they have a PayPal account or not. There is a deduction made from your payment for this, but as a charity this is 1.4% of the transaction plus 20p. In other words - for a £1 donation the charge would be 21p; for £10 it would be 34p. This is very reasonable, I think, compared to the cost of putting a cheque in an envelope and posting it, and the cost getting that to the bank! However, if you're determined to minimise costs there are a few options: To pay by PayPal - log into your own account. Click on the "Send Money" tab, near the top of the page. Enter "castledon@btinternet.com" as the recipient, and the amount, then click on the "Personal" tab. Select "gift". IF your payment is being made from your PayPal balance or your bank account, then there will be no charges. If you use a debit or credit card, charges will be as normal. If you wish to make a payment direct to our bank account - from internet or telephone banking, or over the counter at a NatWest Branch - then please PM me and I'll send our bank account details. You can also donate free of charge from your mobile phone - you will be charged the cost of a standard text message, but if your calling plan includes these, then there will be no charge. Just text CGRX11 £1 to 70070 More details here castledongreyhounds.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=textgiving&action=display&thread=8Thanks for all your help, however you give it! EVERYTHING is appreciated!

Quick question... with the main website under construction, is there a way to donate via PayPal at the moment? Are the instructions in this thread still up-to-date?

Quick question... with the main website under construction, is there a way to donate via PayPal at the moment? Are the instructions in this thread still up-to-date? Hi Luke! Sorry for the late reply - only just seen this! The Paypal button on the main website is up and running now and comes up as a Donation rather than a Payment. It does work as I tried it and my payment went through
