We enjoyed our day at the show yesterday, the weather was kind to us and we met and chatted to some lovely people and met their hounds, it was nice for me to meet people that I have made cards for or have only "chatted" to on the forum or on the FB page, one of these people was Sue Kaer and Dixie dog (such a handsome boy) and the equally gorgeous Mr Tink & Miss Mia who brought Rose & Tony along for the day. Max & Misty spent most of the time laying in the shade behind Carly's paw parlour ,which again was so popular ! Our bonus of the day was that we brought Missy home with us to foster until she finds a new forever home, as you know she was recently returned to Castledon, through no fault of her own and found it very stressful to be back in kennels,so we are trying to give her as normal life as possible at home with us. I will update her progress and photo's under the thread "Missy needs a new home " Well done to all the hounds that won Rosettes and to those that didn't you win rosettes in our hearts every day for being the special hounds that you are and have changed our lives forever !
Best wishes to all
Babs,Paul Max,Misty & Missy

It was lovely meeting you Babs. So pleased to hear you've given Missy a place to stay till she finds a permanent home. I'm sure she'll be much happier now!

We had a busy, tiring but fun day at the show too. Moss came 2nd place in 'Best Smooth Coat Lurcher Dog'. Here he is proudly wearing his rosette. Lucy sadly wasn't placed in her class, but she did a great job in the Display Team.

We all had a lovely day at the Greyhound Walks Show on Sunday......especially all the kennel dogs who we took along for the day Thank you so much Maureen & Derek for running our stall all day for us - it allowed me to look after all the dogs we took with us for the day. Thanks to everyone who took some of the dogs for a walk about Must thank Sarah for not only borrowing the van to get all 9 kennel dogs to the show, but also for driving a 120 mile round trip! The dogs really appreciated their day out ;D I was so pleased with all the dogs behaviour at the show & towards all the tiny dogs that were there A huge thank you to Babs & Paul for being so kind in taking Missy home with them to foster until I can find a nice new home for her. She was so stressed at being back in kennels after 3 years happily living in a home - thank you both so much for making this difficult time for Missy as stress free as possible Finally, a huge well done to Sophie for winning ' Best Bitch In Show' ;D ;D So well deserved - Im SO proud of Sophie Love her, she's such a sweatheart. Maureen & Derek you look after Sophie & Ben so well, i'm really pleased you have been rewarded with Sophie's win

I had a great day even tho I spent most of it stuck on our stall. I only took 12 goody bags and I shocked at how much raised.... I didnt expect that and I was still turning people down on the day. I really couldnt do anymore teeth de-scaling or nail clipping. I only took my Macy so she was happy sitting in her crate watching me work hard all day . Well done to everyone who was placed and special congrats to Sophie who held the Castledon title of Best Bitch In Show. Sophie, really did stand out in the line up. Those who was not placed - we all go home with the best dog! x
