Just found out about this and as we usually order our dog food online from Wilkinsons, and collect in store, we thought it was a greyt (see I'm learning the hound jargon) idea so we registered. First donation was only 50p (please stop laughing) but we do order 10 bags around every 6 weeks plus other stuff. It doesn't matter if it's 50p or £50. It all adds up Jackie and we are very grateful. We get a little bit from most of these charity sources most months, so it ALL counts. Thank you.

Has anybody has ever ordered anything from the 'Greyhound Megastore'? We decided to buy Harley a coat from this company through 'easyfundraising' as it donates 4.5% to Castledon. This was 2 weeks ago and it still hasn't arrived. After contacting them (because they hadn't contacted us in 2 weeks) they claimed that they'd just run out of stock as we ordered. They said one had now been ordered for us and should be with us sometime this week. Just wondered if anyone else has had a similar problem with this company. Allen

Allen I haven't personally Allen, but I have heard similar stories to yours from other folk in the past. Seems like they do run out of lines fairly regularly and seen to wait until all the stock is gone before replenishing. Not the greatest way to do business!!!

Thanks for that Andy If this regulary happens it seems to me that the company keep very little stock on the premises (probably for cashflow purposes) and then wait until they've received enough orders to obtain from a particular supplier (e.g. coats) before placing the order, thus keeping their shipping costs down. Most good wholesalers/manufacturers/supplies will get orders to retailers within a couple of days but ours is nearly 3 weeks so I wouldn't have thought they ordered it straight away. Not very good business practice in the modern day Mail Order business.

Have just ordered Polo a housecoat from Greyhoundmegastore, so will be interesting to see how long it takes......... I have used them before and must admit I didn't have any trouble with them but have heard from other people that they've had to wait a long time and had to keep chasing them up

I have used them before and must admit I didn't have any trouble with them but have heard from other people that they've had to wait a long time and had to keep chasing them up Yes interesting to know how long before your order arrives Andrea, I'll be chasing them up again tomorrow as it's now into the fourth week and still no sign of ours. The most frustrating thing is the company's poor (or should I say non) communication. Most eshops have an automated stock control system built into their software, so an item shouldn't show in stock if there are none available. As automated electronic systems are not foolproof we accept that errors can occur, but feel we should have been notified within 24 hours of ordering that the item was OOS. Instead we heard nothing for 2 weeks and then we had to contact them. Now another 9 days have passed and still no further communication from them. Since placing this order with them we've ordered 4 items from different eshops and they've all arrived within 3-4 days, as it should be. I do hope you don't have the same trouble as we're having and Polo gets his new coat very soon. I imagine he's settling in really well now.

Bit late to ask, but I'd be interested to know how everyone got on with their order from the Megastore in the end??? After nearly 5 weeks of waiting we decided to cancel our order and receive a full refund. During that time we were never contacted by Megastore apart from the time we contacted them after 2 weeks to enquire how much longer it would be, and they told us just a few more days. There wasn't even an apology when we finally cancelled. It was this lack of, or I should say non communication, that we found annoying and frustrating. While on the easyfundraising topic has anybody ever ordered from Wickes online. We have done so twice, to have large items delivered, and clicked the donation button on both occasions but no donations received. Was wondering if this was a common thing with Wickes or has it just happened to us - twice?

I know it's not a lot, but I just ordered a few shirts online at M&S. Spent £57 and raised £1.43 for Castledon purely by going through the easy Fundraising page. I wouldn't have been able to get £1.43 off my shirts, but I was able to pay for a treat for the hounds! Simples!

Just to bump this up again - Castledon just received a donation from Easyfundraising for £111, so please do all keep up the good work!
