We have a little team who can give a talk all about Greyhounds entitled:
"40mph Couch Potatoes"
It is suitable for any groups who like to hear about interesting subjects, and if the venue is dog friendly, we can bring good visual aids with us (i.e. well behaved hounds!)
This talk is primarily about the history of the greyhound, greyhounds in racing, and the rehoming process. It includes "Tink's Story" which shows what an an "overlooked" hound can achieve once rehomed, and goes into the support network that exists for new owners, including the work of Greyhound Walks.
And it also features "Princess's Story", about a very special hound who found her forever home through Castledon afer many years "on the run".
If you have a group who you think would like to benefit from this, please let me know.
All we ask in return is a donation to Castledon. ;D

The Castledon 40mph Couch Potato Roadshow has its next "gig" on Wednesday September 26th at Bovingdon in Herts at 2.30pm. Now I know this is a normal working day, but if anyone can spare an hour to bring along a rock steady greyhound (or two) to show off, and, at the same time, hear my dulcet tones waffling on about the history of the greyhound, greyhounds in racing and rehoming (particularly Castledon rehoming), please send me a personal message as soon as you can. Advance warning for the Roadshow "team".
We're on the road again as we have another booking! ;D
This time it is for Flaunden's Women's Institute and it is on Tuesday 19th February at 7.45 PM - hurrah!
I am awaiting an answer about dogs allowed or not, and will let you know, but in the meantime, please put the date in your diaries, in case they are.
