Little steps, little steps, little steps.
Each little step is a BIG result!

Spring must be here, as the ice cream van made its' first visit of the year to our road today! We thought that it would be rude not to have one, so today Polo sampled his first ice cream. Did he like it? You bet!..... He liked it SO much that he even scoffed the cone down, which all of our other dogs haven't really been that bothered about! Elsa left most of her empty cone and Polo hoovered that up, too!

Looks as though they are both lapping it up. We've yet to try Harley with an ice cream but I think he'd scoff the lot as he eats anything we put in front of him.

It was so lovely to see Polo at the Danbury Park walk today. He seemed quite relaxed and everyone gave him plenty of space. You certainly have done so well with him Andrea and Dale and we hope this is the first of many times we shall see him in the future. Well done Polo Maureen, Derek, Sophie and Harry

It was so lovely to see Polo at the Danbury Park walk today. He seemed quite relaxed and everyone gave him plenty of space. You certainly have done so well with him Andrea and Dale and we hope this is the first of many times we shall see him in the future. Well done Polo Maureen, Derek, Sophie and Harry Thank you, Maureen! As usual, Polo really did us proud - he was such a good boy on this, his first official Greyhound Walk He was sporting his bright yellow 'I Need Some Space' jacket which most people respected. We chose this walk as he would be with familiar people and dogs. Polo had never been to Danbury Woods before, so it was a double test for him, which he passed with flying colours! Here are a few photos..... At the start of the walk with friends Johnny, Snoopy, Molly & Hero ( - oh, and me, Jodie & Carly, too!) Polo's at the back, making sure that no one gets left behind. Polo showing off his new coat Polo and Johnny After all the greyhounds had gone home, Polo and Elsa had an extra walk around the woods with Kyra, the German Shepherd. He then retired to his new dogmobile for s well-earned rest. Apart from having his dinner tonight, he's been catching up on his Zzzzz's, bless him. Now that he's passed his first Greyhound Walk with flying colours, we're hoping that we may be able to take him to the Barleylands Fun Walk. Watch this space....!

Just to prove it wasn't a fluke at the Danbury Greyhound Walk, Polo did his second GW today at Hadleigh He was a bit hesitant when we arrived but once we got walking he was fine, mixing with all the dogs and even walking alongside unfamiliar people! When we got back to the carpark he took refuge in the back of our car. He then absolutely amazed us (again!) when he went to sleep in there while everyone was gathered around the back of the car chatting! Next stop for Polo, the Barleylands Sponsored Walk!
